How to determine if a property is Intensive or Extensive?
Now Imagine this, there is a bucket filled with jelly and you take a spoon and scoop out some jelly. Now think if scooping out will change the particular property you are trying to determine

For eg:
- Volume- When you scoop jelly will its volume change? Yes so it is an extensive property.
- Temperature - When you scoop out jelly will its temp. change? No, so it is an intensive property.
- Concentration- most people get confused when it comes to determine nature of concentration. some people think that because concentration is dependent upon the amount of substance mixed, it is an extensive property but no. Using this method to imagine, if you scoop out jelly from the tub will the sugar concentration change? No so it is an intensive property
This method can be used for Any property. Hope this helps!
